Pretty disappointing first hit out. Fair enough he has had a shorter preseason, possible ankle injury, new team dynamics etc. He is probably in our best 22 when at his best, but based on what I saw on Sunday, he should be playing wafl this weekend and fighting his way back into the team on form. And he would want to lift quickly with the likes of Palmer, deboer only weeks away...

Cripes, we've given Spud...how many chances? It's a bit premature to send McPhee to the knacker's yard based on a one real and one or two preseason games.

I wasn't a huge fan of his game on Sunday...but we won. By a fair margin. If he's good enough to make the team, he'll make the team...if not, then someone younger will take his place I guess.

But worst recruit ever? Tosh. Hutchy is a pillock...in a profession populated by idiots, mindless drones and syncophants he sets new standards for mediocrity.

Hutchy is a basement dwelling grease-ball from the Current Affairs school of Sport journalism. A grubby, airbrushed, demountable slab of asbestos and tin, if ever there was one.

From what I can tell McPhee played on Goodwin most of the night. Goodwin got 24 possessions but didn't have any real influence on the game.

Did they mention Freo on Footy Crapified last night? My missus stayed up until 11.15 and then gave up. I assume that it didn't fit with Crutchinson's agenda so he just ignored our win.

I expect Hutchy had a go for recruiting Tarrant at the time. Most disastrous recruiting gaffe ever.

I expect some Dockerlanders had a go at him too.

Agree McPhee looked lost and underdone on Sunday.

Also agree we should give him some time in purple before judging him too harshly.

22 blokes play each week and it's rare they're all on and play error free football.

Think Harves has made it clear by dropping blokes pre-season for minor breach of team rules, leaving Scham and Co. out, and dragging Mayne that you either step up and execute or you won't be playing,

McPhee will be playing WAFL if he doesn't improve and from all I've read, seen, heard of him if this does happen he'll cop it on chin and work double hard to return to league side.

We should put our best 22 out there and every spot should be earned - too many good 'uns waiting in the wings to be making persistent excuses for consistent poor form. The WAFL is a great place to find your feet - ask Schammer, Dodd, Hendrix and the rest.

McFEE ANKLE INJURY
#301184
Heard on the radio that Adam Mcfee has an ankle injury and wont play this week.
Surely, watching him on Sunday he carried this injury into the game.He ran around the ground in a jog for three quarters just directing traffic, waving his arms around and pointing where players should be.

I have a very low oppinion of Hutchison, the journalist. Forget him.

McPhee is a good signing for the price we paid.

He is not climatised to Harvey's gameplan or the player group, yet.

Everyone linked to this thread has forgotten that McPhee capably filled the void left by the injury to Grover.

I would have him play against his former team on the weekend if healthy.
