He's a cheap buy, eh? We bought our daughter a $15 guinea pig. It finally died 7 years later after hundreds of dollars spent on cages, feeding, cleaning, vetting, and looking for someone to mind it when we went on holiday. Sure she played with it - she played with her Nintendo DS more.
He is taking a spot that someone else deserves. Put HIM on the rookie list and elevate Pearce or De Boer - then at least you'll have invested wisely for the next 3 years.

I think you'll see McPhee's value on smaller grounds like Etihad. You don't need the speed as much and you can position him on a wing to contest opposition kick ins or as a target to aim for. Subi is different but certainly on the road he could be good.

One of the (many) problems with this Hutchison bloke is that everything he knows about footy he gets from dream team results. I'll have a stab at a guess that the number of minutes of Freo v Crows he watched on the weekend adds up to zero.
He picked up a stats sheets, sees some numbers on it & feels empowered enough to pass comment. Any idea of a players role within a team, his opponent or his unrecordable 1 percentages are beyond him.
Oh...and another of his (many) problems...when he has made up his mind on something, he will find any stat that shows anything that might make him seem right & use it.
Just like Hutchison used stats to make Flinchy seem less effective, I'll throw one back at him...we won the game!
And that, my friends, is the stat that matters...

Agreed. I can think of all sorts of scenarios in which McPhee could be useful.
We really need to stop with the idea that everyone on our list, or everyone in a particular starting line-up, should have won or have the potential to win 3 Brownlow medals in a single season.
McPhee's useful cover. For now, let's leave him alone.

At the moment, Davo, he's in the side. I don't believe players are sacrosanct, but Flinchy's played ONE game fercryinoutloud!
Why don't we just leave him alone for now?
Or are we all supposed to get stuck into Flinchy because he once looked the wrong way at your sister, or something?
Let's just leave him alone.

I saw the very tail end of an interview with Flinchy on Sky news up at work last week.
Can't vouch for anything he'd been saying but I did catch him referring to needing to play down back in a half back role to get the confidence back and regain his own momentum.
Realistic, natural and pragmatic.
He'll be alright.
More than any of us can say for that 'kin weasel Hutchy.

I won't leave him alone - I would've played Stomper instead.

Not making excuses for Flinchy, but when he walked to the rooms after the game, he had his boot off and an ice pack strapped to an ankle.

Yeah, he was limping during the game....
but all this talk about Flinchy avoids the issue at hand.
That seagull Hutchy. I realise the temptation to turn on our own is bizarrely irresistible for the collective... but dropping Hutchy to have a crack at Flinchy?
c'mon.

Ok, back on track, Hutchy is a pie eating knob. Any segment/show with him in is best avoided.

Harvey seems to have drafted well in the past three seasons .
Lets show a bit of faith in his decisionto take Mcphee and adopt a wait and see approach .
For anyone to pick on Mcphee this early in the season is a bit like Hutchy saying the Dockers suck this year . He hasn't even given us a chance to prove ourselves .
WAIT SIX WEEKS AND THEN DECIDE
