ARUSBN - Adelaide and Essington are in that position largely because we beat them. Both are good teams and will climb the ladder before season's end. You mark my words.

AND, the cats weren't any more undermanned than us. We were missing Grover, Ibbotson, Plamer and Tarrant.

I like your style Guy.
I also agree with you that Sandi has a lot of years left as a top AFL ruckman, just not sure he'll be quite at AA standard by the time he's 31 or 32. Same with Pav. Don't think there's many players that get better after 30.
I think that a prior record of injury is probably a better indicator of an injury-plagued future than anything else, but here's hoping we can keep Hase, Headland and Hayden fit for a few more years.
Silvagni and Mayne may be great replacements for Taz and Des, but don't forget we'll still need to replace Silvagni and Mayne to get the team to where it is now, let alone up to Premiership standard.
I say the porthole is open as of 2011, and it's time we started doing whatever one does with portholes
Sorry I didn't mention my dream included Hill winning the Norm Smith. There were just so many highlights, what with Pav's eight goals, Hase's 39 touches, Kepler's eight-bounce run and goal, McPharlin's mark of the millennium, Clancee's cruet-rattling bump that left Luke Hodge AND Campbell Brown in tears, Clinton Wolf falling off the podium as he presented the winners medals and the freak decapitation of Phil Matera when the halftime entertainment went amusingly wrong.

For me, the GF is coming in Rnd 6 - we're ready and I can't see the porthole collapsing....ever.

Dare to dream but (I think my first downer comment for the year) things are rarely as good or as bad as they seem. We should make the eight but bad luck can cruel an otherwise promising season.

If you were Harvs, would you be saying to yourself 'be cautious' or 'be bold'?
To win a flag you need a good team and plenty of luck ... unless you're the mob up the road, in which case you just need plenty of drugs and a howling gale in Adelaide. But let's not go back there.
We've got a good team, regardless of the fact that so do a few other clubs. Let's see how long our luck holds.
My guess is that Sheedy didn't bring Harvey up to be cautious, so I'm planning to sit back and watch some wanton mayhem get unleashed!
As for round 6, Polly, that was a gimme before the season started. It's going to be like watching Hannibal Lecter play with Little Miss Muppet.
Bow down before The Dockers.

I don't know if Harvey has joined the cognoscenti yet but he should appear (imho) cautious and play bold.

Perfectly put. And it's exactly what I think Harvs will do.

No need for us to appear cautious. We're fans. We're always on the side of wanton mayhem.
Bow down before The Dockers!
(I'm sorry, I can't stop saying it. Ever since The One put it up, it's seemed like the slogan for 2010. I can see it in the sky. I can see it on the back page of the local rag. I can see it ... on a t-shirt. Hmmm ...)

Every game Harves and the rest of the coaching staff will go through the previous game and show each player where they can improve, whether it be positioning, endeavour, attitude or hardness at the contest.
Yep, they're going to get better!
It may not be all plain sailing over the coming years but it's going to be bloody exiting!
BTW who posted a while back that we would win the first three and draw against the Saints? A dream I believe.
I'm starting to have a similar dream but with a better ending.
