Does Freo and Pav know something we dont? Is he going to wait and see the performance of the guys before he makes up his mind? All the talk is about Ablett signing or not signing but nothing is being said about a more important team player in 'PAV'?

what does pav hating me have anything to do with him not signing, if he hates his supporters he shouldnt sign. will be playing against his future side this weekend by the looks of it

Does his contract finish soon?
Should players be expected to re-sign well in advance of a contract finishing?
I had it in my mind Pav had a couple of seasons left yet.

Not all of them, just you. I was talking to him the other day and he said 'look, I really want to sign, even though I'm only two thirds of the way through my contract, but I just hate that PavforPM knobber so I'm going to quit football and go live on Tony Modra's farm'.

His last two contracts he waited until the season was finished before signing.
Why does he need to sign now? Also, why are you suddenly doubting a bloke who has spent 10yrs at the club and given everything for us and his team mates while being one of if not the best players of the last decade?

i was just making reference to Gary Ablett and his contract. Alot of people are stating how much geelong with fail becasue of the distraction, so whats the difference with pav? i know its a bit different with the new GC team but i am just a bit worried he's going to walk. I will always have faith in him because he has said he's a 1 club man but still money and glory talks.
i hope he stays i was just getting everyones points because im from Brisbane and i dont get much info on freo over here. all i know is this year we will finally win at the Gabba.

If I can add a third possibility to this compelling debate, and that is that Pav is waiting for the official PAVPen to be released by the merchandising dept before he signs.

In terms of money, Pavs next contract with us will see him on the veterans list. Only half his pay will fall under the salary cap meaning we can pay him a hell of a lot more than anyone else bar the new sides.
I don't see how nancy boys contract saga is similar to Pavs. Pav spoke to the media regarding a contract extension only a week ago. Pav said his contract would be sorted out at the end of the season and he is not at all worried about it. Harvs said the same. They are much too professional to worry about anything the media may say about a contract and there is no way they would let it effect the side on field.
It's a non issue.

Thank you for clearing that up for me bizkit, it happened last time however, everyone got talking about pav moving, that was my only concern, now with the veterans list information (totally spliped the mind) i can rest easy now.
