Many of us are a bit mad this time of year hypen and I don't mind admitting that I am one of them. But in general Richmond is right. Haze is too good a player to be a permanent forward. Headland reckons thats for the bludgers like him to enjoy (joking). Time will tell if Johnson is the 2nd or 3rd tall - along with Mayne and Pav or even if we want that sort of a forward set up. That to me is our problem area.

I've browsed this thread casually since it started and it seems to be the annual Preseason 'I've lost my marbles and I've come here to chase them around' thread.
Hase is a midfielder. Always has been. He's got a decent game to play as a drifting forward midfielder. Always has. The game as it is currently means nearly everyone else is as well. Hase can hold his own in that style of play if he can keep up.
Shane's right. Rotate blokes through the forward line and into the middle around the key forward players... who will also be floating around elsewhere.
Leave Hase alone. He'll be fine. It's a long season yet to start and he's been doing this for a long time... he knows what he needs to do.

So in summary fellas a good fwd line is like the love boat.
I guess it makes sense. But none of those episodes that are spread of two nights, ok?

lest we forget
Round 1, 2000 vs Geelong
Paul Hasleby
Kicks 16
Marks 2
H.Balls 14
Disp 30
Goals 1
Bhd 2
Tack 2
FrF 2
FrA 2
That's some debut. The only newby I consider able to come close to it this year would be Barlow. Watch Haze pick up a lazy 25ish.

I have been to the preseason matches here and as a long time supporter of Hase I think he is looking slow even by his standards. I think Bondy & co got it right with the 1 year deal. Just look how quickly J Carr has "lost it"!!!
Now Mcphee is a different story , I wonder if they had seen Silvagni & Barlow whether the duration would be shorter...

gotta agree with guy and co - nothing but pre-season boredom and frustration here. move hase, our best midfielder and highest possession player 2009, out of midfield? and he's now no good based on a couple of warm up scratch matches??!
someone has been handing around a dish of cuzzy's finest.
