Still trying to work out how zar zar DeBoer missed that goal.He is one of my favourite players but i reckon i could have kicked it.He still did some good things after the miss so i hope it doesnt play on his mind too much.Lets hope he can get back on the bike and continues to do the in and under grunt work that makes him one of my faves

He wasn't as good as I was hoping yesterday, though that may be because the rest of the team played outstanding...

However, palmers return is 2 weeks away, who will go out? Deboar is possible but I think McPhee has shown the least to the team given the errors. On saying that though he is getting better every game.

Nerves for first game this season? A bit too pooped after the run?

It took me back to when Mayne came back last season after an injury and he had 2 (3?) shots at goal and missed them all.
I know it was a blooper but let's not be TOO hard on the little tacker.

He was obviously annoyed he missed the goal. I actually liked how he held his hands on his head in disappointment, it showed he really cared for the stuff up he did. We cant be too tough on him, he hasn't played a game for a month and probably normally would have come back via the 2's first for a run the week before. I would like to see him stay in the team.

Although I would like to lay claim to once being a footballing titan, I also had the ignomity of missing a goal from right in front, running in. For some stupid reason I decided to lay out out across my boot and sort of screw it in between the goal umpire and the RH post, because I was concerned I was going to kill the goal umpire at close range. Unfortunately I overcooked it into the inside of the post, and felt the pain of the purple baron. Before I get too much of a bagging, in my defence I think I already had a lazy 5 at the time.

At the game, besides being immediately reminded of my own ineptitude, I felt the nod of 17 other recruiter's heads, whom were probably collectively seeking shelter from their own dull thought processes, and no doubt thinking 'oh, that's right, that's why we didn't draft that kid in the first place" even though they look like enormous fools now.

ANYWAY, BLOCKER'S FOOTBALL TIP FOR KIDDIES NO.40(from an infrequent series)... RUNNING IN TO AN OPEN GOAL? AIM AT THE GOAL UMPIRE...KICK IT THROUGH HIS CHEST!
