WAFL form

Reading about the boys running around in the WAFL in todays Worst brings even more of a smile after a brilliant weekend.
I know not all of them are world beaters but they are playing some really consistent footy and keeping the pressure on the boys in the team.
Still struggle to understand how a lot of football 'experts' said the eagles young talent was much better than ours?! please.
Really like the look of Jesse Crighton, didnt get that much of it but used the ball really well

Watched Dylan Roberton on Saturday. He will be another of our brilliant young crop.

How far off is Fyfe from getting a game?

Tarrant back at FB. Doddy to miss is my guess.
Suban to be replaced by one of the following:
Shammer - another good game for Claremont. But for many oft stated reasons, no.
Fyfe - good performance for Claremont but not a direct replacement for Suban, although Harvs could do some reshuffling and have Fyfe up forward e.g. Headland in the midfield.
I think Clancee Pearce is the obvious replacement.
I agree with the comment that Roberton must be close to selection. Had good games in the NAB cup. Like Barlow he reads the play well, gets the ball and delivers well.
Rhys could be back for the Derby - hopefully.
Btw I take it Roger is OK?

Reply to myboys:
Late in the game Roger came off with what the commentors refered to as a possible hamstring. They then agreed that it was probably cramp. However Rog appeared to spend time up forward in the pocket during the last quarter. This is a place often used for players carrying slight injuries. I'm asking if anyone has further info on this as Roger is a key player in defence and is a clever carrier and deliverer of the ball, as we know and see every week. I expect he's OK.

If Dodd doesn't hold his spot I would like to see Pearce back in. If he doesn't get on the main list before the end of the year it will be a pitty. Before next season we would surely have to get him on the main list.

Thanks for that ddd. I wasn't aware that had happened. Too embroiled in the game I guess. Was this before or after he kicked that goal? Was that why he was there in the first place? I thought it a bit odd that he was in the fwd but figured since Harvs seems to be playing anyone anywhere this was another of his brilliant decisions.

If defensive skills are paramount in Harvs requirements how did Peace measure up on the weekend?

Clancee was one of Swans best and would have to get a run ahead of poor Byron who despite all efforts still fails to impress with his disposal efficiency (or lack of). I feel that he may have missed the boat and doesn't have the skills to fit into the current mix.

Byron will get a few games, but my guess is that this wk won't be one of them. He's still gold in terms of back-up material, though.
As for Rog in the forward line in the last quarter: injury could be one explanation, but I suspect not. The Genius was taking set shots in the warm up, and I doubt he was just satisfying a whim.

Towards the start of the 4th (I think) Roger was stuck on the centre right flank holding the back of his right leg - couldn't move, kept waving at the bench (but no one responded). He then trotted slowly towards the bench and went off. I thought he was a goner - next thing (a few minutes later) he pops up in the forward 50.
I reckon it was a bad cramp that didn't quite get out of the muscle - he went into the 50 to try and work it out.
But you never know with Roger - remember when he was having a 'spot of bother' breathing and a few days later finds that he's punctured his lung? Or the other time he broke his leg in the first half, plays it out and then heads for an xray the next day? It could be that he ripped the hamstring from the bone, broke his ankle, smashed his foot and dislocated his knee before he begrudgingly accepted the need to go forward for a bit of a rest.
He ain't no pussy, our Roger.
Nor is Stomper - 100% disposal record yesterday, a perfect match - keep him in the side.
