Will turn out to be awesome for Brissy; I think they would be better off with this deal. A guy who has real class in Tippet who you'd expect play with passion in his home town.

Maybe we don't get Clarke but it means we can focus on geting what the team really needs rather than throwing a way pics and good players for a player few of us are convinced we need given we have (before trade week) Pav, Sands, Clarke, Keplar?, Griffen, Anthony already.

If West Coast can sell the Crows on Brad Ebert being as good for them as Kurt Tippett then they deserve to get Mitch baby.

If Freo trade Zac Clarke I for one would be dumbfounded, but there is nothing that would surprise me anymore. Sure go after Clark but don't give up Clarke, he will be an absolute jet.

Clark(e) is a required Freo player... so is Griffen according to Freo.

btw another example of AFL journalists getting away with too much incorrect reporting. I am not saying there is no room for them to make errors but I find it hard to believe they can't be brought to more account.

Griffen is a case in example. The bloke is second fiddle to Sands; struggles to get games with Freo even though Sands is injured.
The journalist sees that Griffen is playing in the reserves and assumes "Griffen is unhappy he wants out of Freo" then they look at Port Ad see it is the state he'd been living in for a while. And sees that PA main ruckman will move on from the club no longer being in their plans and the journalist reasons (understandably) could prob do with a mature ruckman. Concludes Griffen must be going to PA.

The Journalist just over looks the fact that Griffen was homesick, came back for family, said he loves playing for the team he barracked for which includes East Freo. They overlook he is still in contract. They over look the fact that although he was overlooked for selection in the Freo side he was carrying an injury mid-way to late in the season.
Yet they proceed to state Griffen is certain to move to PA.

I have no issue with a journalist looking at the situation and suggesting a move to PA may be on the cards but how they get away with making so many statements of fact and saying Griffen is definitely unhappy when he has stated otherwise bemuses me. Maybe he was disappointed about being over looked in selection but the evidence he has wanted out is so thin its not funny.

I suspect the journos are on firmer ground when Griffen's manager is quoted as saying he wouldn't mind going back to SA for a No. 1 ruck position.
