Good player in his time - saw him with the Royals before he went to trial, doubt he'll make it back. Post football he'll have a difficult time, harder than others I would imagine - but he was great to watch when he was up/about.

I cannot really form an opinion about him. Never say him play WAFL and cannot remember his best days at Essendon or why he left to go to St Kilda.

Ross Lyon would have a better idea than most about whether he was even worth considering.

But if he still has any speed, then IMO he would be worth looking at. Our club has a good reputation for at least having positive empathy with indigenous footballers.

I hope Andrew can turn his life and his career into a positive and rewarding one. Good luck to him.

Ross Lyon was brought up in the "" No Idiots/Fools tolerated here "" atmosphere of Sydney. Certainly works because they dont let bad apples destroy the whole box.

How Lovett got to St Kilda with Lyon there amazed me -- it just went against his " employ no ********" principles .
But there again that episode and the subsequent Saints shenanigans is probably the reason we got a chance to have him as our Coach.

I thought St Kilda had a "Nothing but *********" policy.
