You wouldn't want to give too much up, but if he's in the mix, I reckon most teams could use another guy with pace that uses the ball well. There are certain players who perform better when you have good players around them. I reckon in a good team Pearce would add something.

I think all expectations anyone has for Morabito next year should be extremely tempered. Even senior players coming back from a year long knee reco need almost a full season to get back to near their best. Add to that his early stages of development and he should be given all sorts of leeway.

The biggest boost we could get is in aforementioned continuity of Barlow & Mundy. As well as players stepping up a cog ala Peakie (although I'm not sure how much credit Lyon could take, as it seemed Peake came to the realisation over the summer he was being a waster after a D&M with a cancer survivor).

Shane, you're assuming he doesn't want a reputation.

You know, be like Andrew Bolt and call it as it is; be tough enough to say what we are all thinking.

Nothing to do with his race. It has to do with his crappiness at football.
The vomit routine doesn't come out with Travis Varcoe or Christensen or Adam Goodes. They happen to be good brave footballers, as opposed to front running squibs.

Thanks for your ongoing concern though...it's touching

I'm not particularly interested in him unless he comes for free or close to.

He showed he had a bit of potential a few years ago but never really improved from there. This year he looked disinterested and didn't get a lot of game time as a result.

Maybe a change of scenery could do him good but he'd be battling with Hill and Mora who are well beyond Pearce.

RotV - couldn't agree more - any young player coming back from a serious knee should be given plenty of time to get back to their best and catch up on the missed development. Like we did with Palmer ...

Can he play back pocket? He would have the speed and skills but would he have the body strength for the one on one battle?

That's your phrase, not mine.
I prefer squib.
Stephen Hill is soft on occasion. Pearce makes it an art form. He's on a par with the Lonie twins

I see the problem. I look at this and think about the balance, the poise under intense pressure and the good footy sense to move the ball on when he eventually got in too much trouble. You look at it and think - I can't believe he squibbed around those tackles.
