Given they are losing him anyway they will take a second round pick on the last day of the trade period and may even beat the deadline to get it in.
We dont have to give up a player for MC.
I had heard, probably on here that Roberton would like to move on. I would be fine with that. sure he could end up being a servicable player he just doesnt look like he will be that next level of player though so an exchange for a similar player is not going to kill us.
Defence is fine. Johnson didnt look good in Defence because he was out of form all year. not sure what happened but maybe he was just not right.
Morra wont be a half back player, if his knee doesnt slow him up he should be back in the centre and swapping with N Fyfe on a wing real day 1.
our back line is fine, Silvagni will end up being a very good CHB, FB. I think Jack will end up there as well. Ibbo is only going to get better and suban with a whole year on the park and a full pre-season will be back to his best.
lastly the ball wont be back there as much. lets face it. defence starts in the middle. having a full middle playing well will make a huge difference to our defence.

Mitch Clark Trade
Clark to Freo
Griffen to Port
Pick or Player - Brisbane
Goddard & Peake to Freo
Pick 15 & Roberton
Jaeger O'Mera
Comp Pick + Duffield & Mayne
(Although after Harvey incident doubt Sheedy would want to deal with Freo)
Pick 38 - Bradley Hill
Pick 56 - Tom Curren

I would rather we didn't get O'meara if we have to give away Mayne and Duffield.
I say trade Griffen to port for their second pick in the draft (about pick 28), Use pick 28 and Roberton to get Clark off brizzy (take it or lose him for nothing).
Offer GWS pick 16, the Palmer pick plus Kepla to get O'meara.

Tom Curren? Jeez he was a smooth surfer - surprising sporting career change at his age though.

Big docker dog you are dreaming my friend. Goddard and Peake for a 1st round pick and bit player? Goddard would be worth 2 top 10 picks and Peake, why would we want him back anyway?
And trading a ruckman who isnt in our best 22 for a ruckman who was near all-australian and the club leading goalkicker? Get serious man.
If freo are lucky, we might get surjan for griffin in a straight swap, hopefully filling the hole left by Hayden.

Surjan could never fill Hayden's hole - Graham Jetta could for at least 5 years; Davis for 1 or 2.

Surjan for Hayden might constitute a rogering but it wouldn't come within cooee of replacing the Genius.
Some of us said last preseason that Hayden would be our biggest loss, and as far as I'm concerned he was.
Surely even Andrew Blot would admit that Roger Haydens don't fall from trees.
We'll replace Roger not with a single player, but only with a different back line strategy.

Anyone heard if they are showing any interest in Corey DeLolio from Souths. IMO the most exciting (AFL ready) player I've seen in the WAFL this year. Wonder if Lloydy could do a similar deal with GWS as he did with GC/Tendai last year. Couldn't help but notice his marking and ability to kick goals on either foot under pressure. I could just imagine the headaches for the opposition with him as well as Ballas roaming the forward half !!
