I hope he was only involved in basic training and no strategical work that could be passed onto his new club. You would think that if they are going to have these kids training with particular clubs then they would get some priority in being able to select them. Seems a little pointless otherwise doesn't it.

If we can't get O'Meara is there anyone else worth chasing that's still young???
Kane Lucas - Pick 12 a couple of years back. In the bests for Bullants. Would compo pick get him? maybe Bower also with some other stuff.
Bennell - Come home factor but obviously will be more expensive.
Any others?
Or do we just keep everything and go to the draft?

Ace in the hole to snag Omeara could be Moller, talented young talls like Moller are few and far between and would be just what Sheeds is looking for.
Draft is full of talented mids but lacking young rucks which sets it up perfectly for us

The question now is how keen will Sheeds be to deal with us after the knifing of his protege?

He's got a bit of a sense of humour... his twitter status is

@jaegeromeara
Wish I was half the athlete/bloke that @stephenconiglio is

And in return:

@stephenconiglio
I just want to be like @jaegeromeara

But some of his tweets are concerning... a love of coconut water (is that a euphemism for something that a 16 year old shouldn't know about??) and corn thins, and an apparent leaning towards the OOFTITS.

Coniglio also seems to like the other mob. Hope they both like orange, at least for a year or two.

Should enable the lads to carry on their bromance (not that there's anything wrong with that)

The idea being thrown around by media sites regarding the Suns being in the box seat is ridiculous. GWS don't want pick 4 and have stated they don't want draft picks unless they are for future drafts. Pick 4 means nothing to them.

I'm willing to give up a lot to get Jaeger though, he's a gun kid.

I'm really starting to think that O'Meara is being pumped up to get a better trade for him ,remember the raps buckley and hird had on Tom Swift as a sixteen year old (they said he was one of the best they'd ever seen) And now look at swift(he got drafted at pick 20 in the end and even that was too much).

Don't pay to much for this kid, a lot can still happen before 2013 when he can finally play his first game.

Swift had two knee reco's between that 16's carnival and being drafted. There's no comparison.

It's club recruiters referenced in that article too, not GWS. And those who have seen him play all agree he is that good and has an incredibly high potential.

Slammen, the kid is set to be a fantastic player, how good is debatable but there is little doubt he won't be among the best in his draft if not the league soon enough.

He is worth plenty.

Bizkit, I'm not saying don't go for him, I'm just saying that alot can happen between now and when he gets to play at AFL level.

You said it yourself (Swift had two knee reco's between that 16's carnival and being drafted) and that's my point. anything could still happen to this kid.
I would love to have him but not at any cost.
