Can someone who gets AFL list rules (and has the time/inclination) please take a look at who passed in the draft thereby leaving themselves open spots to picl players in the PSD?
Especially those clubs with picks ahead of us?

Gold Coast will go first (they passed at pick 105)
Richmond also has one spot to fill.
Essendon will have a pick (one spot left on their list)
Hawthorn have one spot left as well.
Lucky last will be Freo.
Hopefully, no one plays dirty. The Bombers did it last year when they snatched Kyle Hardingham but we had the last laugh by grabbing Barlow. Suckers!

Richmond are supposed to be taking Houli, and someone (possibly Hawthorn) must be interested in Cameron Bruce for him to quit Melbourne when they offered him a contract.

I feel Essendon could be the want to spoil the party. Richmond have committed to Houli, and I think Hawks will pick Cameron Bruce and so Essendon could pick up John Anthony because they'll pick before us. So it begs the question, having Anthony come and train with us is big punt to take.

Nathan Ablett will be picked up by GC in the PSD. Me thinks that's the reason G.Ablett went up there. How many did the Bombers picked up tonite. Not sure if its 5 or 6. I know they have six spots to fill on their main list

Lets hope that Jay Neagle pulls his finger out and the Bombers redraft him.
Same goes for Nathan Ablett and GC.
As many of the young kids said today, "nothing is guaranteed until you hear your name called out."
This holds true for the Freo + Jack Anthony union.

could essendon be still dirty on us getting mcphee for nothing last year..? we did have kyle hardingham training with us pre-season last year and they also took him. But we got that guy who we elevated at some late pick today so cant be too disapointed...

I'm still at a lost as to why FREO passed on their pick 71. Why not just use that pick on Anthony instead of waiting for PSD. What is there to be gained by using that strategy. If you want a player why not pick him. I guess that's why they get paid the big $$$$$ for being a recruiter.

Good point, Shane. Well in that case he might as well pack his bags because FREO won't be in the running. I still reckon its the Bombers that will do us in. They have long memories (re: barlow & hardingham)
