Very valid point.
Recruiters did a good job with what they had no doubt. If that means 10 year players or bargaining chips is yet to be seen.

Last year people posted we went to early on Fyfe and why where we recruiting a whispy kid from the Dandenong Stingrays at #49 instead of a WA kid.
How'd that turn out?
If we picked em they learn fast and they kick good.

The way I see it, this year we picked up some more guys in the mold of Buckets and Horton-Hears-A-Hoo - the last couple of years before this it has been quick, smart ball handling dynamos.
Good selection - adds versatility and options for the development of these kids and the side as it matures around the Suban, Hill, Bally, Palmer, Pearce and Walters types.
BUT, correct me if I'm wrong, was there only one Aboriginal kid selected from WA (Bennell for the Funs) and one from the Territory (Zephaniah Skinner by the Bullies)? Anyone...?

Surveys have shown that black players, unless they're sen-'kin-sational, can be a ratings turn-off, leading to a potential drop in the price of club colours.

Don't know who this Daffy fella from the Afl website is but he opinon seems pretty freakin good.
Remember when Fremantle was ridiculed for its skill level? Well, that is not likely to happen again anytime soon. In addition to an already-skilful list, the club has landed Jayden Pitt, the player with the most precise boot in the draft, Viv Michie, a creative flanker-type, and Josh Mellington, an opportunist goalkicker. Fremantle has continued to build a balanced and impressive list.

If he's got the most precise boot, his nickname is Cobbler.
