Geez that's funny. Just about every supporter I know dislikes the new jumper - but that not so much as the way it and the other changes were brought in. And the vics like it? Of course they would, it's not far from the Big V, and the logo isn't far from Carlton's. I don't give a rat's about what they think and neither should you.
The 'club' makes itself ridiculous by its own actions, not by anything we do except by bringing those actions to light.
Shane, you let people like these into your club?

That's a bit rich East Freo, moved your whole life to the other side of the continent just to be an away supporter. You should have stayed here mate, you could have seen far more Freo games live.
You may be the sort who doesn't mind being trod on and likes to accept whatever dished out to him but you can't begrudge those who prefer to stand up for what they believe in.

East Freo is entitled to have her say and is entitled to do what ever she wishes to do. We live in a free country, a democracy. Because of that we are all entitled to express our views. I will be doing that on Wednesday evening. I love the Fremantle team, but I am well aware that in sixteen years they, the players I love, will all be gone. Our CEO will also be gone, and the new one may decide to put a teapot on our logo and call us the Fremantle teapots. By then I will be too old to do anything about it but I hope that one of my children will be there, in Fremantle, marching.

East Freo, like so many others that like the freshnewbold look or like to tell people to getoverit, you're missing the difference between club and team. Perhaps there is no difference for you, but for many of us, there is. I suspect most who are anti the changes will continue to support the team just as they have for the last 16 years. It's the feelings they have for the club that have changed.

This is the part of the whole exercise that aggravates me the most.
The divisions within the club supporter base. I disagree with East Freo but he is entitled to have his view. Personally, I don't like the V on the jumpers but if the majority of members / supporters like it then thats the way to go.
The obvious question is "Do the majority support the new look?"
Based on what I've seen and heard, probably not but most are willing to accept it.
This could have been avoided had the admin dealt with all the members honestly. They didn't. They made it worse by treating members with utter contempt in the aftermath. Those who read my earlier posts know the comments forwarded to me from one of the Steves.
I will still be on a return flight from Sydney when the AMM is on but I would ask people on both sides to work on healing the divisions and seeing the Steves as the problem, not each other
