I was just reading this, and was wondering what anyone else would think of having Robert Eddy at Freo.

Admittedly, I don't remember noticing him in either of the GFs, but to his credit, he was playing with a broken hand, a broken jaw, and a fractured arm. Point being, he seems to have plenty of character, which can sometimes be a useful substitute for talent - which he may or may not have a lot of...

Should/can we give this guy a chance?

Yep - I reckon he'd be a goer and he has finals experience - but we are running low on spots on the list if we want to take Anthony as well ... he'd have to get picked up by someone you'd think - maybe Suns in the third round as a mature bodied defender?

He's an okay player, but with the lack of spots, the youth policy and our good quantity of defenders, I think he'd struggle to get a game. Probably better to pick another kid instead.

He's 22 and our key talls are Grover and McPharlin - he'd be very handy insurance for a couple of ageing bodies ... He'd be at best our third pick at 56, so I reckon you'd have to look long and hard at him there.

He's only 182 cm though. That is 8cm shorter than Judd, for example... definitely wouldn't be used as a tall.

Would not mind as a option if anthony is stolen in the psd, ect.
Bottom line,there are many options who have been given the (sorry) heave-ho from their old clubs that also may have a valid position on a afl list somewhere.

Still,for some dumb reason i want Eddie at the eagles.Dont know why,he would out shine anything they have.
