Three forwards, that's interesting. Obviously if they played forward in the juniors doesn't mean they will play forward in the seniors.
We obviously have plans for our current players to use as defenders. Silvagni and Faulks must be felt to be up to the job, and maybe Johnson will be swung back (I think he looks more comfortable back, he seems to go missing as a forward for long periods). I wonder if griffen will play in a key position?
We look to have good depth in the midfield, I thought they might go for a few more key players but I suppose they've gone the slightly less risky route with the more mature players they've picked so far. I hope we get Anthony I feel we need another option front and back.

Sounds like Pitt and Michie can both play either in the midfield or forward. That kind of flexibility is going to be crucial next year with one less man on the bench. Collingwood rotated midfielders through the forward line all year this year and they had a pretty good year. I reckon it's the way of the future. I expect Ballantyne, Walters and Fyfe to all spend time in the middle as well as forward in 2011. These new blokes will fit in perfectly

From the AwFL site..

" .. Fremantle
Remember when Fremantle was ridiculed for its skill level? Well, that is not likely to happen again anytime soon. In addition to an already-skilful list, the club has landed Jayden Pitt, the player with the most precise boot in the draft, Viv Michie, a creative flanker-type, and Josh Mellington, an opportunist goalkicker. Fremantle has continued to build a balanced and impressive list. .. "

I reckon Hawthorn pipped us with their pick 54, Angus or whatever his name is.

Seems like some WC fans are pining for the bad old days. Wonder why? So much for a reformed club maybe Darling went to the right place after all.

An tough inside mid with the nose bleed selection. A big aggressive nutter key forward with the PP and and an agile beenpole at 29. Dunno enough about the players selected at #4 and #29 but thank wholey f**k weve ditched the goody-two-shoes selection criteria and gone for best available. Darling is a bloody good get despite his form drift this year (all Australian U18 in 2009), but he's going to be a handful for the club off the park. WCE06 forgives all sins upfront as long as he becomes a shit mixing big marking goal scoring FF machine..!!

Yeah I'm hoping we get to see someone smashing packs like Troy Wilson used to do, preferably purple packs :D

FREMANTLE
Recruiting manager Brad Lloyd says his club emphasised clean disposal by foot at the 2010 NAB AFL Draft.

Draft summary
"We're pretty excited about the guys we could bring in. We targeted guys who could kick the footy well.

"Jayden Pitt is a really exciting talent. He's got a light body at the moment and he'll need a little bit of time but he runs and carries the ball really well and has elite foot skills. With a few years development he'll be a really good player for our footy club.

"There won't be huge expectations on these boys in terms of playing senior footy next year, but most of our list played senior footy at some stage last season. The thing about Mark Harvey is that he'll give them opportunities like we saw with guys like Dylan Roberton, Stephen Hill and Jesse Crichton last year."

Seems the club have gone for a bit of extra depth on the list with this draft including Mzunga & Faulks & Griffen most spots have coverage. Bring on 2011
