Surely we get to pick up a player called Luke Parker under the nomenclature provision of the father/son rule. Wasn't that how Hawthorn got that kid Dermott Hudson?

Jason McCartney's addition to Docker's coaching panel will ensure that our pick at 20 and other corresponding picks will be gems. His knowledge of this year's crop is undeniable. My tip is that will get Litheland.

It would be awesome if we could get Darling, which I think is possible... just not sure how likely it is.
In regards to forwards, we've got 2 Jack's on the radar.
Anthony: age 22, 192 cm, 92 kg, cut by Collingwood
Darling: age 18, 191 cm, 87 kg, played for West Perth.
I know which one I'd be taking.

Not quite that simple lambchops.
Take pick 20 (at a minimum) to get Darling.
Anthony if not taken by another club comes via PSD or the equivalent of pick 76 in draft.
Take Conca or other at 20 and Anthony via PSD

Interesting to see Angus L's rise up the ranks.
"Apparently" (sauces), at the start of the year he wasn't that much interested in footy. Played the odd game down at Ongerup, often against "that kid with the big hands", got a school game, made Claremont Colts, picked for the state squad and suddenly realised he could do it.
The Pies have been sniffing around for a while.....words like speed, potential, very coach-able apply.

With the selection of Mzungu one has to wonder how much our recruiting staff were influenced by Andrew Jarman and his vigorous promoting of the boy whilst he was the Perth coach.
Mzungu was as good a player as he is now two years ago, so it begs the question, was he considered by the then recruiting staff as a prospect at that time.
The same could be said of Ashton Hams who the Eagles rookied listed. Maybe recruiters at long last are broadening their horizons and realising that there is more to recruiting than concentrating on 17 and 18yr old kids who might turn out to be good AFL players?

I reckon Micky Barlow was the answer before you asked the question.

Our recruiting staff? You don't expect me to believe that, after defending Ben Cousins, John Worsfold and Ashton Hams in the space of a few days, you're a Fremantle supporter.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Yes, undoubtedly the success story of Barlow would've probably influenced the thinking of some recruiters re their selection of mature aged players. Particularly, given that he was widely known in AFL circles due to his presence at several AFL Clubs before starring at Werribee.

Definitely another mid-fielder, preferably a good inside mid. Either Conca or Parker, if Parker slips down the list that far.
Only thing that'd make me choose Conca over Parker is the "go home" factor. Reckon Parker is the better option, but wouldn't want to invest time and work into him so that a Melbourne based club can poach him in 3 or 4 years time.
Conca would be here to stay.
Parker is still my tip though, if we can get him.

Seems the draft is continually being compromised. Last time we had a Parker with a big conk, now we've got to choose between a Parker and a Conca.
