member's meeting
#335905
I get the feeling that the club doesn't really have its heart in the Member's meeting. Earlier this month I felt like a little stir so I contacted the membership hotline and asked them to update the website to provide some details of the meeting as there was no reference to it at all. After getting a "we'll see what we can do" it appears that it was all too hard and nothing has happened. I also note that in today's ironically titled "Membership matters" email there is no mention of the meeting.

Anyone would think that they were trying to keep it quiet ... surely not.

I find your suggestion that the administration would try to mislead or hide something from the members highly inflammatory and an argument without any base in the real world!!

Damn it Swoop ... you've seen through my carefully worded post and gone straight to the hidden agenda. Next time I'll need to be more subtle ... maybe I'll try a survey.

There is just the bare basic info regarding voting for the member elected board member...and the short bit about the members meeting night.

You would think that it wouldn't be too hard to put it in the event's calendar - surely it is more important than an open training session?

If you do try a survey Walter please ensure it is only conducted with 5% of your target constituency and that all questions are vague and misleading as this seems to be the approved method.

After the results are released you will need a two step follow up:
i) tell them it's the best thing ever; then
ii) tell them to get over it.

Clearly they are mindless sheep who must be led.

Don't forget to build in a huge golden parachute as this will be your demise.
