Gold Coast and Essendon are the only clubs that intend to participate in the pre-season draft - for out-of-contract or delisted players - that have not settled on a player or made their intentions known.
Essendon said it is undecided about who it will pick after Richmond, meaning it doesn't have the option of re-drafting Houli - but the Bombers have indicated that they are unlikely to consider Anthony, who may nominate contractual terms.
Knights would have taken Anthony. I'll be disappointed if Hird doesn't. The foundations have been laid for a long running, bitter feud between the two clubs. To throw it all away now because of a few contractual terms seems like a waste.
