Personally I see Jack Anthony as a significant plus for the Dockers. But then I've been pushing his barrow for some weeks now. My original suggestion was a direct swop for Tarrant. In fact we may now do better than that. With the exception of last season this guy has a good record at the Pies. He's only 22 and he was recruited by the Pies a backman. What more is there to say except to hope that his time here prior to the PSD will consolidate his drafting by the Dockers.

The reality is he can't be too much worse than a kid picked up at pick 198 (or whatever) in a draft where the best 17 year old talent had been skimmed off a year ago.
Give him a crack. If it doesn't work, turf him in 2/3 years. What is the worst that could happen?

I can see the logic in picking up Anthony. Harvey and co. will try and slot him into fullback mainly one would think to cover the loss of Tarrant. With the loss of several backman over the past couple of season and throw in aging Grover, McPharlin, Hayden, Im sure this will be high on the agenda.

Not happy with Tarrant until he reinvented himself, nor McPhee until he played on Judd. If JA is a good footy player, isn't a typical Collingwood Neanderthal and trainable I'd let Harvs do his stuff.

JA has seen the proof of how Freo can turn out of favour has beens into champions. So that's why he jumped at the chance to try Freo.
Screw Bailey, he can just go find his demons elsewhere
