Guys, you are all getting confused here, we will not be using pick 20 on Anthony! Its all in the title:

National Draft: This is for the kids and where Freo has pick 20 and so on and so forth. This draft is mainly for first timers.

Pre-season draft: The chance to pick up an out of contract player from another club. Usually there are less than 10 in this draft each year.

Rookie Draft: Pick your rookies, Freo should take about three mature age guys in this draft.

So Anthony will NOT cost us a pick an some exciting young talent.

Thats not strickly true mattis, any out of contract player can nominate for the national draft or the pre season draft. In this case Anthony didn't announce he was leaving until well after the closing date for nominations for the national draft thus he is PSD only.

Perhaps by bluffing, Freo picks Anthony up for nix, ala McPhee last year. I did remember two years ago, who was this young bloke, near balding...kicking all those goals. We have cleaned up in the talent stocks with 17 year olds past few years. If he comes in, he may well just slot in nicely with all our other state league champs, mature agers and young guns.

I'm fine if we get him for squat. If the worst comes to it he can help out at training, like Murph did.

But, for mine, Anthony looks way too much like he'd only want to come to Perth for the chance for making it as a Wheels & Doll Baby model.

Collingwood have officially delisted Anthony ahead of the AFL's second list lodgement deadline.

He could fill a need as a swing player, so I would not be opposed to see him at the Port.
