NICHOLLS, people do speak like that, but they are usually in infomercials.
I'm no expert on infomercials, but I think we are supposed to respond with something like:
"FD1016, that sounds great. I haven't been feeling very newfreshbold lately, do you really think buying the striking new gurnsey will help?"

I have renewed my membership. Not because of the new paperclip thing. Not because of the new bold fresh Chevron/Victorian State Jumpers. These things suck. Big time suck.
My decision to renew was troublesome, but in the end I choose to see my club to their first grand final.
These Johnny-Come-Latelys on our board will soon be expelled. Then we can re-adorn our real colours.
Time is on our side ...

Being grammatically correct isn't a bad thing.
For example - lemon, shane and pollyanna are proper nouns which should be written as Lemon, Shane and Pollyanna.
If the grammatically incorrect want to bag the Steves (which in itself is incorrect) please call them the steves (lower case).

Be careful with the time on our side thing there Badwolf. If we become
complacent with the fight, the fight will go
out and we'll be stuck with the new fresh bold look until
something newer, fresher, and bolder comes along.

I still cant accept the new logo. I will go watch games, but dunno if can renew my membership. Havent been in Perth for a few weeks. I still dont believe that there can be so many happy people on the club facebook site. Negative stuff about the change seems to disappear.
For each member that takes a stand, you will still be able to buy tickets at the ticket counter. Few of our games are sellouts.
I will decide what to do after the Members annual meeting.
By just accepting the carp logo and paying up, Steves win.
Surely, the administration is getting lots of negative feedback.
The jumpers ok, but that logo is horrid.

my only problem with grammar is that she used to spit on her hanky and clean my face with it

I'm sorry Gover I can't follow your path. I'll pay. The steves will come and they will go just like the design for the 2011 jumper and the logo. I think we will reclaim the red and green too.

Larkin, I wanna pay. I want to be at all the games in 2011.
Being on holidays since the bloke with the beanie lost his job of holding the anchor,I wont know how I feel.
Perhaps, tonight when I get back home, to find out that the dogs and house are ok. Might crack an Export tinnie. Slap Polly's sticker on my ute, I might feel better.
Has anybody watched the videos on FTV of the brand launch?
Maybe seeing Morabito, slotting a 60 metre running goal at Subi on the same evening as the Big Day out will make everything better.

I am wrestling with it, but I'm pretty sure this thing has done me. I was teetering when they took that final year away from Jeffrey - they lost 5000 that time around. Conservative estimates (5000 x $300) would mean that that loss was around $1.5 million - given the season that followed, I hope it was worth it. No one was held responsible for that, this time someone should be.
I stuck with it (on a flip of a coin actually) after they sacked Jeff - there were guys that I had been yabbering about (Walters and Pearce) since they were 16 that had finally made it into the 'club' and I wanted to give them some support.
When you're in some kind of relationship and someone says they don't need you that's one thing - when they declare (and show) that they don't want you, that's another thing entirely.
I hope that someone is held responsible for the dilemma that has been forced on many of us. It's an individual decision that isn't easy and it could cost the 'club' considerably. There would have to be a very good reason for someone in my company to expose it to a million dollar plus loss - the reason would have to be better than a whim that we needed a new frock. It would be foolish to assume everyone is going to wear it.
