Apparently Headland said Walters has to earn 11.

Since when does Headland decide who gets what numbers? Its hardly like he made the number almost retirable anyway.

If we believe what we hear about Des' time at Freo his work ethic and professionalism was revered by all at the club, and he took his role as a mentor to the kids very seriouslly.

A degenerative knee condition hampered him in the last few years.

I think you'll find his views on who gets his jumper will have some currency.

So it should, as it was given to DJ by Dale Kickett.

11's always been a 'black' number at Freo. If Son Son wants it, let him prove to DJ he deserves it.
