I was more surprised to read that there was an ongoing contract for the final to be held at the MCG until 2037. SO there is no chance even if we build a new stadium with capacity etc, (and yes i understand there is no chance of that happening, but hypothetically,) even if we built such a stadium and we, say played the eagles (prior to 2037 is unlikely date for the eagles to get good enough for a AFL grade game let alone a final by then, but go along with me here) we are contracted to have the grand final at the MCG?
That sounds like a crock to me. What sort of contract is that! I though the standard 2 year telecommunication company contracts were excessive but that's a ridiculously long contract.
