I believe that the football department, which includes players, recruitment, coachng, have performed way better than the marketing department,which includes brand management and sponsorship.

I believe they should have a complete revamp like we had with the football department 3 years ago.

I've always had my doubts about the WAFC owning the FFC and the Budgies. They reason that East and South Fremantle FC couldn't bury there differences to manage an AFL club. Consequently we've been the poor cousins to the Budgies ever since. The ONLY thing I considered to be a possible advantage to us coming from the Budgies was the POSSIBILITY, that Sumich may have been a contender for coach a couple of years ago. Thankfully THAT didn't happen! At least he's got a Freo background as well. We have now had recycled Budgie officials foisted onto us by the WAFC. Neil Fong isn't Freo's friend, and the WAFC sees us as a cash cow!! The Budgies are their priority. Like all poor cousins we have to prove our worth, despite the handicaps imposed on us by the AFL & the WAFC. The Steve's will take us backwards, they don't have the right stuff for this club to achieve success we grave. Whilst I hope I'm unduly pessimistic, their actions have the potential to seriously undermine the success sought by this club. Harvey can't be happy!! Well maybe he can be, he's Victorian after all and the jumper probably looks ok to him, the players just want to play. We're the mug punters that have to cop the experiments on the chin.
Pps Steve Rosich won't return my calls! I wonder why!!

sadly that's how it is. after years of average results on the field and in the finances, freo's now playing pretty well and bringing in plenty of cash to the WAFC. so what they do is chuck someone in to run it like a business, and basically recycle ideas the eagles used (i seem to remember a time when their strip changed just about every week to keep the fans buying).

sadly, as much as the WAFC likes to believe otherwise, the identity of our club extends beyond clinging to some bygone success eras.

If I were in charge, the first thing I'd do would be sack whoever thinks it's funky to use Comic Sans font in the club promotional emails.

No wonder they think that the new logo looks good. It's clip-art and Microsoft font land out there. I expect to drive past one day and see an A3 poster of a plane towing a banner with SALE written on it.
