Lobby Woodside and LG

I think we should lobby the major sponsors about this branding issue. These companies can't be impressed with re branding issues that cause negativity and angst amongst the membership, or tarnishes the brand reputation. Neither Woodside or LG would be impressed if this debacle escalated anymore or grew too a full blown rebellion by club members. Rosich & co have got this so wrong, but then Rosich's Budgie cronies don't understand passion.

Woodside CEO has already registered his disapproval. Doesn't say so in the article but I have it on good authority that he really hates the new logo and chevrons.

I cannot reveal my condiment.

Well he is weak as johnny worsfold if he can talk it up and the 'nurses uniform' down on inside cover while privately thinking overwise. You can tell your condiment that.

The OP is right though, I try an support Fremantle sponsors wherever possible, but will not longer do so, and will let all major sponsors know of my consumer objectivity and the reasons why. I will review this if the introduction of the freshnewbold chevron and logo is overturned, or if the introduction of freshnewbold or retaining of the more traditional symbolism is put to a member vote/definitive survey.

I urge you all to consider the same.

As I said elsewhere, the club has allowed Levi Strauss™ to suborn the commercial value we offer our major sponsors, and the intellectual property inherent in our brand.

If I was Woodside and LG, I'd be spitting chips, dummies and anything else I could expectorate over any Steve unlucky enough to get within range.

I hope your right Stevedore, but in the West only last week he was enthusiasticly loving the new jumper to bits, and they didnt ring him, he rang them to tell them so. Must admit that he did come across as a bit of a dope in the article, so maybe he's having second thoughts?

Is todays announcement of Don Voelte's decision to retire as CEO of Woodside linked to the change in jumper and the new logo. A man of principle indeed.

not to be a wet blanket but LG haven't been a sponsor for a year now. It's the mob that sell jigsaws or something.
