The Goose on ten has reported the delistings, adding Tim Ruffles will be rookied, according to the club.
Tough on Bucco, maybe he'll end up on the rookie list as well.

Ruffles is a surprise, but I guess understandable if they can re-draft him, and the risk of someone else gazumping us is minimal given his injury.

It makes sense to rookie list Ruffles. With two recons, this one quite late in the season, it is unlikely he will play a game in 2011. Thus the dockers will keep the promising youngster on the list and give him a go in 2012, whilst opening up his spot on the list this year for another player. Strange to see Buco go and Schammer stay...

rookies for most of them i would guess
Any chance of Dodd being the last selected if nothing else is better at that time? or is losing his experience not a real problem with our list now.
i guess it all comes down to money and pay outs...doesnt it.

Ruffles could work as our new mascot, Johnny "the paperclip" D, while he sits on the sidelines in 2011 recovering from his 2nd knee recon

Feathers got a 'Dear John' letter of the worst order - yeeysh, what a Christmas present. He was spectacular when he played - who could forget that last Derby goal before he did his knee the first time? Deep flank pocket, city end.....

As mentioned elsewhere, if he is still contracted, and the club promises to pick him up in the rookie list, then he'll still get paid the same, rehabilitated the same and hopefully return to the list under one of the many "we'll let you upgrade a rookie on every 2nd thursday" type rules.
So it is actually a very good Christmas present to the guy who'll be selected with the 3rd national draft pick and to the 3 or 4 rookies who will be upgraded to the senior list. As mattis said, it's very smart list management. Just hope no other club acts like a bastard and steals him from us. Surely this should be like the woofterball "kick it out of bounds when the guy might not be faking it" fair play rule?

As much as the kid is a champ, I think he's going to be pretty safe from being stolen by other clubs. Most of 'em wouldn't even know who he is. Add in the two knee reco's and it's a safe bet that he'll be a rookie-listed Docker on December 7.
