Great (though unsurprising) news! I defy anyone to not have a soft spot for the guy: he makes his way onto the team via the rookie list, battled through injury, constantly fought much bigger guys to a draw or better, and with a bit of luck, could reach 200 games next year.

He may not get a lot of accolades, but it's guys like that that are the foundation of a successful footy club.

Good to hear.
Hope that he's able to hit the big double century. He'll be among legends.

Excellent news for the mighty number 14.

I think Hackdorn made a mistake in the last sentence: Walters is already on our main list, right?

When football father time hits Antoni, it'll hit him hard and suddenly. Hasn't happened yet IMHO, and he won't give up without a helluva fight, so good luck to him.

Doing the #14 proud since '99. Respect.

Hoping he'll get to 200 in 2011.

Two great memories of Grover. His debut at the WACA, couldn't believe that we got him from the rookie list, and his effort this year to get back into a contest while cramping up 15 metres out from goal - the charateristic grimmace showed how this guy is a 110% team player. No bling, total commitment.

Well done Antoni, shows that good guys don't have to get ignominiously shoved out the door.

Check out that jumper, though. Reebok, proper Freo badge and no Woodside logo. I feel a conspiracy theory coming on.

excellent news. if anyone has tried harder, or been more disappointed when beaten in a contest, i'll be a monkey's uncle. he deserves to be around for the good times.

'No bling, total commitment.'

You come on DL for lines like that.
