I heard the interview on the radio yesterday and he ensured that he thanked Fremantle for revitalising his career.

Not sure why he feels he must repay the club that dumped him whilst he was having off field troubles. Surely he should more strongly feel the need to repay the club that had faith in him when no others did and who turned his career around and therby ensuring a higher pay packet.

It's a bit like divorcing your second spouse to return to your first spouse becuase you wish to be loyal to him or her.

This Tazza stuff is very confusing to me.

Sounds to me like he is a footballer who has recognised that the end of his career is coming, and he wants to make the most of it. That he draws a comparison between how he feels now, and how he acted previously at Collingwood is unsurprising. There's nothing in the article to suggest that he feels that he only 'owes' one club.

As a Collingwood fan, Taz's comments are exactly what you'd want to hear. Given he's a Collingwood player again, it's pretty obvious he's said the right thing.

Good luck Taz, thanks for everything, and here's hoping we smash you next season.

Taz will be retired before the AFL fixture Collingwood to play the Dockers at Subiaco in the home and away season again.

Whatever he thinks he owes the Pies, he should be doubling that as far as FREO is concerned. However, I believe him when he says he wants to be part of a Premiership team. He got his wish but no premiership medal. The irony is he would have got a premiership medal had he stayed with us. Enough said.

Can't understand the ill feeling towards Taz.

He's been nothing but professional in his dealings with the Corporation Formerly Known As The Club, has given full credit to them for turning his career around, says he expects Freo to Play the pies in the next GF and comments on the irony of that if it happens.

He's a down to earth bloke apparently ill at ease with the media generally, saying exactly what he should to appease both groups of fans.

In short, a professional.

I agree with guy. I don't understand the hostility.

Anyone who was lucky enough to be at the Doig in 2009 will remember his speech on accepting 3rd (4th?) place. At the time there was plenty of speculation about him leaving too. He was a committed member of the club and a true professional.

I can't see any ill feeling towards the man in this thread, more a case of sour grapes. Not sure why we should have to feel happy about him expressing his gratitude towards another club. Some of us have to put the feral in supporter.
