FD, you're right, we did have a good year this year, but I notice we did it without the newboldfresh jumper and saftey pin logo. So do you think that changing jumpers/logos somehow makes a team play better? or what?

Nothing more insulting than being told how I should feel...

and having a load of old spin thrown at me as proof.

Hey royalpurple, just pointing out that new things aren't necessarily bad. Change can be good. I don't think that a jumper, logo, whatever, has one iota to do with anything.

Freo is a great club of which I'm proud to be a member. They can run around naked and I wouldn't give a t*ss. (Well there's a thought...). It's the club I care about and support, and always will, whatever they damn well wear!

"The Fremantle Football Club has a board and management team that has been entrusted to run the club and make timely and appropriate decisions."

Given how acutely disaffected and marginalised we all feel about how they went about implementing this change. Could they have chosen a worse set of words than the abovementioned to justify their actions?

Translation, we'll do what we want when we want because we can.

Shocking email, just really poor communications Fremantle.

None of this would have happenned under Schwab, I never thought I'd see the day when I said that.

Jeez, how self centred can you be.

With two exceptions the board and management team have been EMPLOYED to run the club.

That everyone (finally) receives the same reply is a pretty clear signal that the FDFC hold members opinions with as much disregard as they did in implementing this marketing exercise.

When I last wrote to the club 7 years ago with a number of concerns, Scwabb personally wrote back a hand written reply, and addressed the things I brought up. I wasn't thrilled with all responses, but he at least showed he'd read them and felt it important to reply.

None of that here.

This admin is strictly hands off with the members. If they really believe they've been 'entrusted' then they've lost that with a section of its members

It's worth nothing there was nary a cough when the purple haze jumper was introduced. First it was a one off, then gradually became an alternate strip. Nary a sneeze when the white strip was added. Fremantle aren't collingwood and an away strip was common sense.

Both changes were done gradually and allowed some great games and moments to occur in them and therefore have something attached to them. Plus they have a friggin big anchor on all of them.

This jumper has just swept aside everything that identifies the FFC, and replaces it with bland purposeless purpleness, and a paperclip.

technically there was a split in the supporter base before these changes. It just the majority of supporters on this site were on the winning side, now they are on the losing side.

So really this decision has not really put a wedge between thte supporters. It was already there. they just weren't as vocal
