Anyone else get the feeling that the Pies were more interested in keeping important players away from opposition teams, than actually addressing deficiencies in their own list?

Cases in point:

1. Taz. They say he's not in their best 22. Complete and utter cr@p. He's in anyone's best 22! But if the Hawks or Carltank got a hold of him, how much harder would it be for Cloke or Dawes to score with him in there. He’s a perfect matchup for Buddy… and would give the Hawks and Carltank a much better structure down back.

2. Andy Krak. Imagine what St Kilda would give up to get a hold of a bona fide, ready made jet with great leg-speed and top skills. This is the same bunch that brought in Brett Peake for leg-speed and line breaking, and played him most of the year… desperation. Geelong would probably have loved to get a hold of Krak as well.

Keeping these guys away from their opposition would have made the pr!cks just as happy as actually having them in the team.
