Trade summary and updated picks

Hope I got this right ...

Removing the movements of pick 44 & 55 & 61 we end up with ...

In:

Pick 43
Griffin
Faulkner
Mzungu

Out:

Pick 38
Taz

Our picks were:

Fremantle: 20, 38, 55, 72, 89, 106, 123, 140

Our picks are now:

Fremantle: 20, 43, 55**, 72, 89, 106, 123, 140

**55 went out then came back to us

So we lost Taz and went from pick 38 to 43 (5 places). This gained 3 players... Even if 1 of them turns out to be in the best 22 that's pretty good work by FDFC I'd say.

Pick 55 played a blinder.

After gathering Faulks and Griffen in a great solo effort, he gained experience at GCS and CFM before returning to Freo as part of the deadwood pruning exercise.

After such a great debut, Pick 55 is bound to be a gun.

So Chris Bond says here that we have picks 20, 43 and 55.

As far as I understand it we had 4 players retire and have told 4 rookies that we'll upgrade them to the senior list (Barlow, DeBoer, JVB and Silvagni). So that evens out.

We delisted Tarrant and Hall and secured Mzungu and Faulks, so That evens out.

So if we are to have three picks in the National Draft doesn't that mean we have to delist 3 players? If so, Who?

Could someone more knowledgeable than me please clarify.

I'm unsure of the rules around this, however, in previous years teams were required to delist players to get the sqad down to a predetermined size. Given that we appear to have picked up three payers in trade week and essentially still maintained our draft picks (with some minor shift in placement) how many player do we now need to delist and who are they likely to be?
(so far three in and four out - Taz (Woods) and Spud (who had hoped to go to Carlton) plus retirees Solomon and Rash Thornton ... anyone else??)

So now that debacle is over and we realise we lost not much and gained not much, except a couple of potentials who may or may not come good, we get to look forward to these dates:

Friday 29 October, 2pm List lodgement one. Rookie promotions, retained second-year rookies, retained third-year international rookies, retained third-year non-registered rookies

Friday 5 November, 2pm Out of contract listed primary list players draft nomination deadline

Draft nomination deadline for new or expired (after three years) nominations

Nomination of use of compensatory selection by clubs that lose an uncontracted player to Gold Coast FC

Wednesday 10 November List lodgement two
Friday 12 November Delisted primary list draft nomination deadline

Thursday 18 November NAB AFL National Draft - Gold Coast Convention Centre
Wednesday 24 November List lodgement three
Tuesday 30 November, 2pm Delisted primary list draft nomination deadline
Tuesday 7 December, 10am NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft

NAB AFL Rookie Draft. Team GWS have selections 1-8 and the Gold Coast FC has selection nine and the first selection in each subsequent round.

Yes folks, still plenty to look forward to as we decide who gets cut from our list .............
