Considering last years draft efforts = Taz for Roberton. Depends on the faith you have in the draft blokes at Freo. The past 2-3 years have been big ticks as far as I am concerned

So we got 30 games of good footy from Taz out of 88, and all we got are picks 43 and 55. There's a lesson to be learned here. Stop trading our early picks for so call big names in AFL footy. Taz could give Pies another 2 years of good footy playing as a backmen, which we deserve alot of recognition for. But I don't think we were well compensated. Once again, those days of Connolly and Co. bites us on the A**e.

Pick 43,I believe was a G.C. pick, its the first pick of rnd 3.

GC draft rules from afl...
I think it can be used at a latter date for a better position(just)or be traded in the next 5 year(?).

I don't blame Taz for what happened or wanting to go home. he did his time, he gace evrything when he played for us, and looked as anguished as I have ever seen a player when he'd miss set shots.

Was a revelation as a defender - shut down talss, smalls, and ran with blokes like Goodes etc who usually blow-up power defenders.

Anyone who moves for work interstate, London, Dubai, whatever - usually goes back.

I won't be boo-ing him and I wish him all the best (except when he plays us)

That's a win.

And don't forget we have the secret weapon that no-one else has - the FDFC recruiting team (no pressure, lads).

All in all I think that's great to see the Pies come to the party and give something. After all, it appeared that Tarrant may have gone the PSD route and we would have been screwed.
Well done Tarrant. Hope you play your 5 or 6 games per year for the next 2 years for the pies are worth it.
And, hope your misses does her best on the Melbourne catwalk or bar pole or where ever she's strutting her stuff.

Have no fear, given the record of the Freo recruiters of late, they'll definitely deliver with picks 43 and 55.

For example, last year year Freo got Chrichton with pick 48, Roberton with pick 49 and Bollenhagen with pick 52. All three will be jets.

I think Freo have done very well out of the trade period: we've beefed up our tall stocks with Faulks and Griffen, and appear to have landed a Broughton-esque rebounding half-back flanker in Mzungu.

Good times ahead fellow Dockerlanders!*

You know. We might get some over looked gems.

I hope that his knee gives, preferably round 1, so he cant play anymore and is regretting his decision to move from Freo.

Bit harsh.

He stuck to his guns that if pies wanted him, they'd have to give something for him.

Locked out all other clubs saying he'd retire if it didn't happen.

Don't remember Carr providing us the same courtesy... But he did flatten Drug boy and Kerr multiple times in that last Derby, so he probably though that was enough.

Don't blame Tarrant.

FDFC stuck to their guns. Were offered 55. Refused. Played brinkmanship until Coll offered 43 as well. FDFC won.
