Grrrr! Just when I was beginning to calm down ...

The smarmy, no-good b*****ds ... How dare they say "you were our edge" and then discard us like old newspapers. Well, at least I've got until 30th November to decide what to do, and I don't think the decision to renew will be an easy one.

Also got an e-mail from the club flogging signed versions of last years jumpers. I wonder if they get more for last years than the new carp ones. I bet they do.

got the renewed email to pay through ticketmaster I hope the extra our fees are this year are not for un docker jumpers if it is they can take the cost of mine out of it its bad enough having to pay transperth when we qualify for free usage

When I first heard about the changes I thought that there was a bit of an underhanded plot afoot (if you'll excuse the mixed limb references) but now I think they've just read the play really, really badly.

Firstly, the seemed to think the news of the changes would get out. There are a lot of people involved and a lot of people interested. It was always going to leak. If not on Dockerland then on 6PR or the Sunday Times or just through the light speed rate of office gossip with the internet.

Then when it did get out, they panicked. They obviously cancelled the full plans for Doig Medal night and hastily convened a press conference. They also called in security because they were imagining hoards of feral supporters storming the compound. The result saw some seemingly good natured Victorian cheer squad members locked out from a visit to the club.

Now they've sent out their membership renewals, while many people are still very upset and possibly likely to tear the thing up in anger, rather than waiting a week or so until they had settled down and learned to put up with the changes.

So I no longer believe them to be clever or sneaky. I'm calling incompetence.

Steve Rosich just isn't that good at his job. A trier but not AFL material at this stage.

My best friends son had a daughter on Friday 1st Oct (I day we will never forget)
Father being a Freo lover I just signed up Emily as a HMAS recruit $60 - stipulated I didnt want the new logo or colours as her gift I want the old original Freo gear as she was born on the day of change!
To my surprise I have just looked up what a HMAS recruit receives and it was only $50 for 2010 WTF!!
$10 increase and we are still in 2010!
