Online Survey on Jumper & Logo Design
#331317
A quick online survey and questionnaire is up and running to gather some opinion in a non-scientific or market engineering type of way.

Click here to go to the survey.

I am not qualified in marketing, advertising, web page design or gardening. I am a passionate Freo supporter and member and I love my footy club.

Do some button clicky stuff on the survey, tell your mates about it and I'll post the results here in a week or so. I'll also send the results off to the club and see what response we get.

Danger, Snoop. There are all kinds of vested interests at play here, and you're not going to get a clean survey result. (Not that there's any such thing as a clean survey result, but try telling it to the social scientists.)

It's clear the fan base is divided and that the club didn't anticipate a backlash (hence the hastily arranged press conference, and security guards).

Who needs a 'survey'?

snoop, unfortunately while your heart is in the right place, Wiz is spot on. I'm not going to post a link to that other site here shane but this is the kind of response it's getting already:

I Did it, Voted for the new jumper and logo. Also made sure that I didn't vote for the anchor.... maybe its just me but I want to ***** dorkerland off and seeming as though they want to keep the anchor it seems a good way to start

It's a little sad that for some trying to '**** off' other supporters of your club is more important than anything else, but that seems to be what the former Fremantle Football Club has become. Well done Steves. Mission complete.

Right there is one of the saddest elements to this whole fiasco.

Split the supporter base right up the middle. What a screw up... and all over choosing to use the name that is most easily turned into ridicule.

I love that survey!!! Just like the supposed one they based the changes on, you can jsut keep thte data secret and just publish that the survey showed the new jumper is lousy. great.

You should have made it more straightforward:

Do you think fresh strawberries look yummier than 3 week old road kill from Northam?
Yes No

Do you think fresh green lollies are nicer to chew than dog excrement?
Yes No

On a very hot day would you lick a purple icy-pole before your grandmother's armpit?
Yes No

If a storm was coming would you use an anchor to secure your trawler in port before trying a bent paperclip?
Yes No

We've got 500 survey responses in 24 hours - need some more people to do it.

We did ask you to think about this before rushing off to slip into the Robin tights.

Assuming your survey were to be taken seriously, whose side do you reckon a response rate of a mere 500 across a day would be on? Surely such evidence would prove (wouldn't the club say, and who could challenge them?) that most supporters are not opposed to the changes.

Why don't we walk down the hill and get acquainted with all of them?

I'd like to get to 1000+ responses to make it valid-ish. 3000 appears to be a good enough response rate for FDFC.

Tell your mates, get them to tell their mates, etc.
