Anyone for Collingwood
#329089
I grew up in the age of the Winners on a Sunday night. In the late 70's to mid 80's it was the formidable evening line up on the ABC of Combat, Countdown and then the Winners.

I followed Stan Magro over from Sth Freo to Collingwood and yep like everyone I passively supported a Victorian team and that team was Collingwood.

And in 1995 the Pies were history for me, and I learnt to despise them very quickly. But I am on them this weekend because there is no choice.

So unless you are going to the Royal Show on Saturday arvo you have to pick a team and in the process admit to yourself that you have no choice as to who you are gonna support on the day.

GO THE PIES. GO LEIGH BROWN. GO NEON LEON.

Dont worry if Richmond bags you he'll be on them too, guaranteed.

I'll be supporting the Pies too because

1. they're playing the deaf cheats
2. Good to see the Leigh Brown get a medal
3. they're playing the deaf cheats
4. it'll be good to see Nicky cry again
5. they're playing the deaf cheats
6. I want us to have 3 flags before the cheats get their second

By the way I know you were a huge fan of East Fremantle ruckman Paul Harding, an out and out star he was too. And I know he went across to.......and then to......oh dear say it isn't so.

The dulcet tones of Drew Morphett on a Saturday night hosting the Winners was truly a great memory of my youth.I remember Tommy Hafey ,Stan Magro and a few other Collingwood players coming to my school in 1977 and showing us starstruck 12 year olds how to kick properly.Maybe that's why they have so many fans...Go the Pies...

I'd prefer to see St Kilda win for the following reasons:

1. St Kilda, as a club, is far less evil than Collingwood;

2. St Kilda don't have Eddie Maguire;

3. St Kilda don't have a toothless knobber encouraged to don a sparkly dero's jacket at games;

4. I know some Collingwood supporters and they are arse clowns;

5. St Kilda's coach has not been filmed crying on the field;

6. St Kilda's coach has not coached the slime; and

7. Collingwood have Eddie Maguire.

Forget The Winners.

Hypes, we may need to get a room:

'Starring Rick Jason ... aaaaand Vic Morrow'!

Only Freo's first flag could compare.

As for the GF: Nicky Winmar played for StK before they were The Deaf Cheats. That's gotta be a point in their favour.

Plus, if Eddie's mob loses, you get to see Malthouse cry.

Shane's argument is strong ... but I'm not sure there's a better sight in football than Malthouse crying.

Support the Pies????????????????
nooooooo....Collingwood get it too easy in the AFL world.

Mick Malthouse split WA with his arrogrant coaching of the wet toast weagles.

They deserve the utter disappointment of coming second in a GF. I laughed when Mick cried.

Prefer the Saints but I HATE Ross Lyons and Milne.

So do I care?
