The lesser, as Mission Man would say, of two weavils.
I don't know more than a couple of Saints fans and they're good blokes. I can just imagine the outbreak of Pieitus if that lot win. Like a locust plague, but worse. For a start, there'd be Eddie to put up with, then Mick... then a million Joffa clones spitting bad teeth and stale beer with every stuttering syllable.
I might not watch much of it at all but I could handle the Saints winning more than that lot.

You have one sewer. All your poo goes into it. You know where your poo goes and so you are able to keep a safe distance and stay disease free. It doesn't matter what happens to it, it's still a big hole full of poo.
Collingwood is the sewer. It can win a flag, it's still Collingwood. The supporters don't become any uglier, they don't smell in better, they don't get any any more or less respect than they do now.
But if St Kilda win, well we may as well all just go an live in India. There will be poo everywhere.

Anyone familiar with my relationship history will know I'm quite used to living with poo.
However, I see your point. A bit like when the spook trap is turned off in Ghostbusters, but not. We fall back on plan 'B', then... someone crashlands a plane full of anthrax into the G halfway through the second quarter.

one possible scenario is that St Kilda, as usual, win the match by clearly cheating.
Under the theory that nothing happens until it happens to Collingwood, St Kilda will be shown up for the cheating bastards that they are and thrown out of the competition...but they get to keep the flag.

Thanks for that went down like a treat, pies supporter at work trying to claim it will spur him on...still not sure what it is spurring him on to do though....
Interestingly I had a discuss with a wise old victorian, Carltank supporter who mentioned that 6 or so of those Pies premierships (used by above pies supporter as a a comeback) were under a challenge ruling? something along the lines of...by finishing first in the comp and losing the GF you were able to challenge the week after to a rematch? anyone know more about that or where i can find some info supporting this?

Brilliant. Shane, it pains me to compliment a Vespa rider (if that's what you are) but you are truly great philosopher.
The anthrax solution was pretty good, but this adds a wonderful component of double ignominy.
