Now that's the outside the box kind of thinking they should have had when designing options for the new logo (assuming the majority of new members wanted to look at new options).

They really are doing everything they can to be rid of the old look: www.fremantlefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/.../103778/default.aspx

Basically every players jumper worn during the 2010 season is up for auction.

I wonder where the auction proceeds are going, jumper auctions are traditionally a charity thing (but I guess tradition is not a well liked word at Freo these days!)

Please, I hope everyone here is not just all talk on this issue.

Take action, voice your disapproval by every means possible, get hold of steve's mobile number (easily found), email address etc we must all do whatever is in our power to do regardless of whether that is as an individual or as a group (mob?).

Also, Dear the Lotto winner who travels to every freo game, please engage some lawyers to challenge this change in the way Polly describes regarding the constitution and the Fair Trading Act or whatever way possible.

SO what does PANTS have to say on all this? Yes I understand cabinet solidarity and all that - thats what leaks are for. And our other members rep? Were they kneecapped, in agreement or are they on their backs?

board members elected by the members are expected to tow the line and not leak stuff.

They're just elected by the members - not for the members.

Sounds like we should get Lark's almost missus on the board.

Pants can get knotted, Ben Allen too (next year) - and I don't want to hear any blabber from either. The AGM will make Freo feel like Beirut.

Better call in Robert Fisk then. He can't understand the lingo but he writes a good story.

Funny how spin becomes fact. Somewhere over the last few days it's become 'true' that our jumper's always been embarrassing, hence the need for strong leadership to bring about a change.

Now like most folk on here I've been on Freo since day one, and I'd be richer than a Steve now if I had a dollar for every time I heard we've got a stupid song and purple is for gaylords. But I don't ever remember the anchor on our jumper being of any concern, except to the hippies. (Even then, only reportedly.)

But suddenly the iHistorical chevrons are the solution to a 'problem' that's been with us for 16 yrs!

The irony, of course, is that the hippies won't notice the jumper's changed, because they're always walking around in a cloud of smoke.

'Man, it's the anchor .... ffffffffff ... it's gotta go.'

We've heard the BS about Levi's demanding we drop the anchor (I can't for the life of me think why they would, but I'm happy for someone to produce some evidence), and if it is indeed a load of carp, the question remains: what the hell's driving this?

It can't simply be a ruse to sell a whole bunch of new merchandise.

I can't stop asking myself, what's the big picture here?

What's left for us to find out?

I searched 'Levi Dockers' and was lucky enough to be selected to participate in an online survey. One question - 'why are you here?'. Ignoring the philosophical implications, I replied 'Did you guys put pressure on the Fremantle Football Club in Australia to drop the anchor from their logo? Please respond to Dockerland.com' (the last bit because surveys are always secret and anonymous - right?). Let's see if anything comes of that!
