Micro surgeons have been working around the clock to re-attach Hayden Ballantyne’s arm but the diagnosis is still 5 or 6 week, much to the annoyance of the selection committee. Thursday nights is their poker game so they usually just hand in the team sheet from the week before but bloody Ballantyne has forced them to hold a meeting. There were so many options to discuss, the return of Zac Dawson, the ongoing debate over Zac Clarke or Jon Griffin, the emergence of Lachlan Weller and whether he was ready for action. In the end though, they all agreed to just throw Clancee Pearce back into the team, throw Dawson, Weller and Clarke on the plane as emergencies and the knock off early. The Tigers brought in Ben Griffiths and Sam Lloyd and put the axe into Nathan Gordon and Matt McDonough.
