I'm with 391
It will be "Schammer time Soon" ..... especially in the wet.
Afterall .... who needs a shammy when it's dry?
Longterm, I hope to see Schammer there until he blows a gasket
I'd hate to think he'd have to look south for a game

At least Byron's got to play in 100 plus points wins in the two games he's played in the WAFL for Claremont, which is something new for him.
In WAFL watch, Simon Lloyd gets very re-assuring when evaluating Byron's performance in his last game.
"Byron played another good game in a very strong Claremont midfield. He gathered a lot of footy in close, he was very strong over the ball and he was good under pressure. He made good decisions when he had the footy and used the ball very, very well."

Byron can't kick, and neither can de Boer. That in itself isn't a reason not to be picked, but let's not pretend that either of them can kick.
And to suggest that Byron's kicking is OK just because players like Pav, Hase and DJ sometimes miss targets, is ludicrous.
Schammer's got a lot to offer Freo (and I'm completely behind the argument that he deserves some payback for all the hard times), and de Boer's got plenty to offer us as well. But neither of them will ever be picked for their clean disposal.
That's not only fine — it's also one of the great things about this beautiful game.
(Matty Carr: you won't be forgotten.)

Wiz - I wouldn't be so stupid as to suggest Schammer is as good a kick as Pav, Des or Hase. Just saying that in the much improved team that we have, with the better backup, his disposal, most of which is likely to be handball, may not be as bad as, well, Schammer's.

Goes without saying, Steve, that no one on here's stupid.
To put it in Kiwi: we're smart as.
We're backing a club that's going to win a flag in record time without draft concessions or drugs.

Clarke not named for East Perth and not listed as injured.
A late change maybe?

Is DeBoer fit? limited game time in last few weeks (Claremont had a bye). Schammer and Fyfe also down on game time as a consequence, would that be a consideration?
