Yeah - maybe him and the Big Q can get together and have a chat about improvement.
Byron is one who has stayed loyal over the journey (!) but I can't think of anybody I would drop to make way for him at the moment. Anybody been watching his WAFL form?

Matty DeBoer!!!
Yes!!!
Surely he will be in for Ibbo. Surely.
How exciting to have the little hard nut back in, especially against the big fat cats.
Woohoo!!!

Just a little note on Schammer.
He may not have the best skills in the side but you'd be hard pressed to find anybody who has tried harder. I have a lot of respect for the little guy.
I'd still pick a team on form but you just don't forget guys who have put in like Schammer.

Re: people missing "MC Schammer" and my dorky habit of screaming "It's Schammer time" every time Byron gets the ball ...
SHORT TERM
I am sure this will happen during 2010. Kids will get tired, people will get injured, people will have form slumps, and we'll play some tough wet weather football (as opposed to dry-weather run and gun) and Schammer will come into his own.
LONG TERM
Anyone really see Scham being there in our best 22 on the last weekend in September in 2011, '12, and/or '13?

I hear ya but gee you would like to see him get to the point where he has a (deserved) regular spot in the side.

On Schammer, I am a fan of his desperation as well; however if the guy needs to improve his disposal then getting him to do the famous Gary Player trick might work. If Gary Player shoots over par in a major he goes right back out after the end of his round and plays another 18 holes to get it right. So maketh a professional superstar.
Hence Byron, if you are kicking like xxxx then go out and improve it. Work and work and work until you get it right.
The same of others as well. Sandy can improve his overhead marking, and he has done so. Good luck to him. Good luck to us.
He should be unstoppable resting up forward as a result.

Last I heard of Gary Player, he was wasting away from starvation playing his two hundred and seventieth consecutive round at Augusta.

Bradley must play on Sunday.

Schammer's disposal wasn't that hot, but the same could be said of a lot of others in the past: Johnson, Tarrant, Groves, Des, Ibbo certainly, and on bad days even Pav and Hase.
They all play better in a better team - Schammer hasn't had that chance yet.
I still think Harvey is sorting out the young team, and unfortunately for Byron there are a lot to get through who have shown enough to warrant a go at the big time.
We don't know the full story, of course. I hope that Schammer is part of Harves' master plan and that he is training him up in some specialist midfieldy area, upping his skills to play a crucial part in our premiership side.
I want to see Byron holding the cup.

My theory is that over the season Harvs will play two taggers, De Boer and Crowley, against the stronger midfields like Geelong and drop back to one, Crowley, against some of the weaker midfields and let them go head to head.
