Maybe they have a special phone line, a secret service line, like The Bat Phone. Rings with a special tone and flashes purple.. "Coach! It's Mayor Ballantine, I've been held up by a brigade of westies, will need 20 minutes to chew em out and set em straight, I'll be there in 15 coach!"
He'd have to allow a bit of it on the road too. Going on a three day stint would require a bit of time out from your surroundings from time to time.
