Harvey has banned the use of iPhones and the internet at the club for our players. Looks like the young ones are way too involved with their technology probably facebook etc and not communicating enough with the older players.
Good move by Harves. Thoughts?

This means that when Stephen Hill's on the warm-up bike prior to the game, no more i-pod on gettin' Low with Flo-Rida.
Instead he has to listen to Chopper bang on about how many goals he's gonna kick that day.

good move. kids these days do spend alot of time with their phones out, they shouldn't be itneracting with virtual people, they should be interacting with their team mates.
i'm sure plenty out there know how things improve out of sight when you're on good terms with a team mate as opposed to just seeing them and wearing the same colours as them. you gt to understand what they're all about.

Everyone has their peccadillos. You can probably remember some of your best teachers from your school days and the weird things they did. Oftentimes, these weird things actually enhanced your learning although at the time you knew bugger-all about these subversive methods that helped you learn.
Harvs has a plan. A plan formed from observation and a desire to make our Club a force in the AFL. At present, the youngsters would be laughing at Old Man Harvs who just doesn't get it. In ten years time, they'll get it. They'll realise what he did, why he did it and how they benefited.

These young kids and their nintendos and walkmen. In my day we'd be down the pub fighting each other until Sheeds grabbed us by the ear and carted us back to the clubrooms...to fight and drink beer.

Now listen, children, in my day we didn't have roast chook for dinner unless we wrung the chook's neck personally. And unless it was Sunday.
The only doubt I've ever had about Harvs is that he's got some kind of out-of-touch, pre-modern agenda going on when it comes to 'discipline'. Let's see whether it proves to be his undoing.
