Coming off a first Round loss to Collingwood, Fremantle were keen to get out to a good start but they lost their way towards the end of the opening quarter and didn't find it again until the second half. Falling five goals behind after a second quarter paddling, Fremantle fought back to get within a kick in the third quarter, only to drop their guard again at the start of the fourth, forcing themselves into another fight back.
