Every Freo fan makes sacrifices and mine was to move from WA to a tiny mining town in QLD. Meaning my membership is safely in the hands of a fellow Freo fan in my absence. So from now on I doubt I will make any home games this season.

Thus I am keen to pay an exorbitant amount to fly into Brisbane and watch the boys play REAL footy at the GABBA. I however, have no idea if there is any pre-game festivities for Freo members or where is good to sit at the ground. Any advice would be great since I have been here only a week and spent about 3 hours in Brisbane during the hours of 6-9 last sunday.

So anyone going? Advice on seating etc?

...we did the trip to the Gabba a couple of years ago as our holiday cooincided with a Freo game - we sat behind the goals but the thing that impressed me about the Gabba was that you could have a great view of the game wherever you sit - this is a real stadium (unlike Subi) with great merchandising facilities, brilliant food and drink outlets - easy access to and from the seating and good public transport to the ground - all in all a very good experience....one of these days we may have a similar venue in Perth...
