It's a reflection of how good 211 is each week, it's standard to compare Sandi against the combined stats of two of his opponents! maybe journos should compare how did Cox go against 211 and johnson combined.
btw IMO schmook is a good young footy writer, he's usually pretty good to the haze or at least fair.

i think naitanui needs psych treatment for recurring nightmares, proabbly involving a ship sinking. he was clinging to sandi for dear life most of the match.

I think we can get carried away with our own arrogance. On reflection the Mophead actually did well in the ruck knocks given that Sandi was 6cm higher. Natnui leap really tested Sandi but the difeerence was Sandi's ability to change a contest on the ground and tackle.

Natti boy stayed on the fringes for the highlight pass...remember boys the kid is but a kid and Sandi was there too and was ridiculed for his lack of presence around the ground....age and experience changes things...Sandi is like a Penfolds Grange and Natnui will get better and haunt us.

What impressed me was big Sandi's second efforts all day. Which were far better than Cox and Nata No Where's. Two of his four tackles were done running down a player. Yes he ran down Masten. Loved it. E girls around me didn't like it or me.

Something I've also wondered but have been too afraid to ask...does anybody know how the stats are recorded?? Is there some sort of moleman with really thick glasses got some sort of massive tally system happening... ??

Good pre-derby article about Aaron Sandilands from Jon Ralph in the Herald Sun with a bit of an insight into how he is regarded by a couple of past champions. Click below:
