Just got off Facebook from club
Fremantle Football Club: With the return of Tim Ruffles and Scott Thornton to the main list from the long term injury list, Jay van Berlo and Clancee Pearce are now back on the rookie list.

I wonder if there is some sort of ceremony for that?

So when Groves comes back either de Boer or Snos go back to rookie status?.I can't believe that Hackdorn described our list as thin on the weekend. We've got depth and competition for spots that any club would kill for..

Strongest rookie list in the league and as far as depth is concerned - very encouraging I would have thought.
There are already wagons circling around our rookies and the concern is that we will not be able to fit them all in next year.
I'm kind of hoping some of our older fringe players (Spud etc)are out of contract and ripe for a delisting of sorts. Does anybody have any idea who is out of contract at the end of the year (apart from Harvs & Pav)?
As far as a welcome back to rookieland ceremony is concerned I'd imagine they would have something - probably get the keys to a tricycle or something.

Nah, no ceremony. But I reckon there will be a good look in the mirror, a clenching of the fist, a tightening of the jaw, and a burning desire to get back to the main list that seems to be going places.

Still quite a long list of players out of contract end of 2010 Grub, but I'm sure a couple will bring a smile to your face:
Bradley, Bucovaz, Dodd, Grover, Hall, Hasleby, Hayden, Headland, Hinkley, Ibbotson, McPharlin, Mundy, Murphy, O'Brien, Pavlich, Solomon, Tarrant, Thornton and Walters.
Solomon is gone already, so there's one spot before we start.
Elevating rookies also counts as a draft pick these days, so we could theoretically elevate all of JVB, Silvagni, De Boer and Pearce and not use any draft picks.

Hope they gave the kids a good feed before sending them back - on the strip, not out of South's corroding grub van.

SCOS is not going anywhere. At worst if he has to go back to the rookie list he willbe back in a few weeks when (I think) we get a mid season elevation? I would then like to see pearce and de boer back in that order. Really like de boer but pearce is going to be a real class act and has the most upside of any of the rookies - nice call on that Polly by the way. Jvb has been ok but may be challenged by roberton, hinkley(not sure on his wafl form) and others to get another run in the seniors.

Cheers for that Rogerbelly and there is indeed a smile on the dial as I look through that list.
There are one or two there that will miss out and feel like they have not made the most of their opportunities. There will also be a couple of the older guys, who will want to kick on for another year or two on the back of the improved team performance so far this year and that will be interesting in itself.
The elevated rookies we have already used can just about all feel like they have done enough to be put on the permanent list next season.
Our list management has been a highlight over the last year or two and I'm confident we will retain whatever we need.
