Has Channel 7 run out of those boring 30 minute hetro/metro gardening, house reno, cooking shows they are usually so fond of showing?

i) The game may well be a sell-out, but that doesn't mean it will be a full house.
ii) West Coast are no chance.
iii) If the game is televised live, fickle West Coast members (ie all of them) will be less likely to turn up to watch their team get defeated (no need to "beat the crowd" when you're already home).
iv) The smaller the crowd, the less money West Coast will make from the game.
v) Channel 7 have a financial interest in West Coast.
vi) All of this is especially annoying for those of us who are hoping to catch some of In The Pines after the game is over.

Speaking of Channel Eagles, did i see correctly? In the Tuesday 6pm news (this week with Derbynesia in extremis), there were 'in depth' comments from David Wirrpunda and Peter Bell. If i did indeed see correctly, the caption for Wirra was 'Eagles legend/champion' or similar, while Bell's was 'Former Fremantle Player' or similar. Annoying.

Further to Beav's earlier post, I just checked the AFL Broadcast schedule and Fox are indeed showing it live from 2.30pm which would no doubt preclude channel 7 from doing likewise.

If they are looking for 30 minute fillers surely that's exactly what programs like Dance Fever, F-Troop, Animals Animals Animals and Thrillseekers were produced for.
