The concept of the team of the week is just totally lame, and I think more worthy of scorn than ARUSBN. If they intended to name the best players every week, it would be a kinda dull concept, as 70% of the team would probably be the same each week. To make it novel, they are of course going to add people who have 'stand out' performances, and a big part of what makes people stand out is exceeding expectations.
It's hard for Sandi to exceed expectations considering everyone who knows anything about football expects him to go out and destroy his opponents. It's a credit to him that he has done that, but if we are looking for that feat to be prasied, it's not going to happen in a stupid week-by-week team, but in the All-Australian team. NicNat puts a few spectacular plays together in a rare Eagles win, so he gets a Team of the Week nod. He's hardly going to put that on his mantlepiece.
I don't want to verbal ARSBURN, but by defending the selection of NicNat, he has unwittingly given credence to a rather pointless concept. If ARSBURN wants to argue that NicNat was better this week, based on the flawed criteria, then it at worst makes him wrong. But lets not go around calling people Eagles fans. Some things you just can't take back.

I am Dockers supporter, but i appreciate football and if that means saying well done to someone not a Docker then im ashamed to be associated with this site.

Not sure, but what it boils down to for me is quite basic.
We all know a lot of these media ideas that eventually form into numbskull things like 'Team of the Week' are dodgy. But if I was a punter and had to put money down on a team that was either rucked by Nats or by one with Man Mountain in the centre, I would plunk my bucks on Sandi's team - on last week's performance, without hesitation.
